a team pursuit game popular in the north of the Indian subcontinent in which the two teams alternately send a player into the opposing team's court to try to touch one of the opponents while repeating the word 'ಕಬಡ್ಡಿ' or "ಹುಡುತುತು"(to show that the breath is being held as the rules require); ಕಬಡ್ಡಿ (kabaddi).
