(used in pl. with -ಗಳು) (jain.) the seven principles - 1) living being (soul), 2) non-living being, 3) an inflow of the effects of one's deeds in the past life, into the present one, 4) a shutting out the external world, as a means of avoiding accumulation of further sins, 5) bondage (a being bound), 6) destruction of accrued sins, religious transgressions, faults, etc; and 7) emancipation from the worldly attachments.
